A sock called sid

This weekend we kept the D.I.Y to a minimum and only did little jobs like fixing a broken door handle and painting inside my built in wardrobe which was really hard as there was lots of tiny money spiders in each corner of the wardrobe and i didn't want to kill them so all the corners of my wardrobe arnt painted ,lets hope any prospective buyers don't look too closely :)
We had a lovely walk in the park Saturday morning and somehow managed to lose Doodles ! so off i went to find her while Andy and the pixies stayed on the playground i was starting to worry when she appeared out of nowhere busily munching something yucky!

Wobbly animal fun with daddy

Andy decided he was going cycle to the estate agents to sign some paperwork much to Ben's delight.

Which left me pixie free (Daisy was having her nap) so i planted our summer bulbs and hanging basket .....Bliss :) although i did get a phone call about 20minutes latter asking what the address of the estate agents was as Andy couldn't find it .. doh!

Finished my first sock softy from a book i got for my birthday called 'Stray sock sewing' . Ive called him Sid . I didn't make the kitty though, but Ben insisted he was in the photo with Sid .

Mummy's Pixie princess

We took Doodles for a run in the park today ,we spent quite awhile watching the ants on the steps Ben was fascinated .

This is such a cute photo ,Ben saw this clump of daffodils and went and sat next to it and told me to take a photo and then kissed them all bye bye ! mummy's little nature lover .

A Horse we met on our travels.

After fighting over the blanket they finally decided mummy's crazy idea of sharing it wasn't such a bad idea after all!

missing socks

This is our rather yucky utility room home to dirty washing ,wellys, spiders ,dog leads and the nappy bucket and was in need of a lick of paint so i reluctantly painted it magnolia .I did find all the missing socks too so was quite a productive afternoon.

Today the board went up on the front of the house so we are officially For Sale only problem was we hadn't yet told Andy's mum who was coming for a visit that we were selling the house (board wasn't due for another 2 days !) oops! so she had a bit of a shock we she arrived at our house !
Ben fell asleep in his pop up tent all the excitement of watching mummy paint the utility room was too much for him :)
am feeling exhausted from all the tidying and painting and have a weekend of more 'Jobs' round the house ahead of us :(
but on a happy note Daisy's christening present from my best friend Rannia and the pixies soon to be fairy godmother arrived today it was a membership to the Sylvanian families club (which was my favourite toy as a child and still is ) it came with a badge and grandma and grandad rabbit SO cute ! The most exciting bit was it also came with instructions on how to knit little hats and scarfs for the sylvanians! wow! can see what I'm going to be doing for the next couple of weeks.

busy bee's

We have been soooo busy lately at the weekend we went to Visit the little town we are hoping to move too and it was really lovely big rolling hills ,cycle paths ,3 charity shops ,wholefood shop and a wool shop PERFECT!
We totally fell in love with the place so we have decided to push ahead with the move which has meant all those little jobs round the house we have been meaning to do for ages have had to be done ,we wrote a list of 'to do jobs' and oh my goodness its long !

Haven't been to busy for crafting though :)

took this photo today ,if only we could just pick this house up and put it down somewhere else :( I'm sure the neighbours would have something to say though as we live in a terrace house :)

This was today's job, painting our bedroom !

The estate agent is coming to take photos tomorrow so once the pixies were in bed we madly painted our room ,got told off more than once by Andy for being 'slap dash' and painting over cobwebs and dust bunnies and even a bit of blu tac :) am not a fan of painting .
Tomorrow's job - paint utility room magnolia ..yuck !

mold, baby slugs and messy play

The Cheerios thief at work.
We had a quick walk this morning as veg man was due with lots of lovely organic veg goodness which the pixies dived into as soon as it arrived .
we spent the afternoon trying not to fall asleep while reading books, then when Daisy woke up we tryed a messy play idea from The Crafty Crow using soap flakes.
this was the end result. Daisy predictably tryed eating it but soon realised it was not very nice.

soap ghost

last night i learnt 'Casting off' so had my first knitted practise square,i put it on my bedside table and when Ben found it in the morning i told him i had made it he gave it a hug and took it downstairs and this is what he did with it :)
Spent the rest of the day tidying and cleaning places i don't think i have ever cleaned before (bad mummy) as we have a estate agent coming to value the house on Monday eeeek! i don't think i have noticed how moldy some parts of are house are ! and while cleaning found a teeny tiny baby slug it was so tiny it was actually cute so set him free in the back yard .
Came to a terrifying realisation while doing the washing up that if our house goes on the market I'm going to have to keep the house supper tidy and clean all the time incase someone want to view it ! not sure if I'm up to the challenge my inner lazy beast is incharge of house work or lack of.Oh well Challenge on.

pink cakes

We had a lovely time with Grandma i think she spent most of her visit reading the pixies books and on the phone to Grandad who managed to crash their car which is now a wright off ! he wasn't hurt thankfully.
Also finally finished my Owl family .

Strawberry's and toast for breakfast.

These are Andy's amazing pink banana cakes! he wasn't paying attention what he was doing and instead of vanilla essence he added red food colouring(thankfully the vegi stuff) which i had bought for play dough making .They looked strangely like play dough but actually tasted really nice in fact they have all gone now :)
(Not sure why but keep getting sideways photos very annoying !)

horse ridding

grandma went home today so i decided to attack the bathroom with some white vinegar and bi-carb, meant to do it BEFORE she arrived but got preoccupied with the badly behaved Hoover !
Ben was such a good boy and spent about an hour reading his new library books (while mummy cleaned the loo ugh!)

Ben reading his favourite book of the moment 'The Puffin Children's Treasury' his favourite story in it is 'The gingerbread man' which he calls the biscuit man.
Andy has been busy looking at house prices and our dream of having a house with a garden and living out of the city maybe going to come true :) were getting a estate agent to come and give us a evaluation ,so fingers and toes crossed x am so excited at the prospect of having a garden so the pixies can have somewhere to play, plant flowers and runabout a backyard just isn't the same.
We have also decided to start trying for baby number 3 so Andy's even more determined to find us our dream house .

yesturday

More needle felting have become very addicted so am trying to wean myself off by doing some knitting .
We won this on ebay and Andy went on the train to pick it up .Its really lovely and came with a single parentfamily of Daddy and three children one of which is a baby and Ben and daisy have been arguing over it constantley .

it was such a beautiful sunny day so we went to the park .Ben spent ages on the swings becasuse his wellys kept flying off which they both found hilariouse .

Grandmas coming down from lancashire for a couple of days so tidying up like a mad woman and the pixies are untidying like mad things.
The hoovers letting the side down though as the belts broken again :( cursing the day we decided carpet was a good idea !

catchup

Haven't been able to use my laptop as it got a horrid virus but its feeling much better now :)
At the weekend we went to find a park i had been told had a really good children's playground and more exciting than that Squirrel's that eat out of your hand !
So we set off with are nuts for the squirrels and when we got there we wernt disappointed the pixies had loads of fun on the playground and so did mummy and daddy :)

This was the friendly squirrel that let us feed him :)

Another sideways photo!!?
After we had are dinner next to the duck pond we walked to the charity shops nearby and got some books for the pixies and a wooden snake which is a bit too realistic for my liking but Daisy and Ben love it and has been named 'Hissy'.

We also found this cute dolly which Ben has claimed as his and called ' Annie' but Daisy says shes called Dave!?

dressing up fun.

This is from Gillian Mckeiths book of spells its supposed to be carob brownies not sure if i did anything wrong but its not very nice :(

although Daisy did enjoy smearing it everywhere and Ben put his in a toy cup and tryed to feed it to Annie-Dave dolly. Don't think i will be making it again .
