carboots and more spiderman

Despite feeling rather like my knees might fall off we got up early and went to the carboot sale and we got the pixies some musical instruments the xylophone was such a good find its all made of wood and makes such a lovely noise i rather like playing with it as much as the pixies do :) and we got another Julia Donaldson book to add to our collection we have managed to collect nearly all her books pre-loved now .

I also found a spiderman costume for a £1 which i couldn't resist as i knew Ben would love it and i was right he wore it all day even to the park .

I had to bribe him with letting him take his knights in the bath so i could take it off for bath time thankfully he didnt want to go to bed in it :)

made me chuckle so much watching him run round the park dressed as spiderman , one of those Ben moments i will treasure forever .

Trip to Stone

we hadn't been out on our bikes for 2weeks so when we woke up on Saturday and the sun had got his hat on we set off on the canal for ride to a little town called Stone via lots of lovely countryside.

We had never been to Stone before and it was a lovely town lots of old building dating back to 612AD .

Stone also had lots of charity shops so we couldn't resist buying some books :)

when we got home Andy's mileometer said we had been been 20miles !! which is the furthest we have been so far :)

Today i woke up feeling like i needed about 12hours more sleep so i dragged myself to the park with Doodles and the pixies . Ben brought all his knights in his rucksack and we went from bench to bench playing with them .
It was very windy which is just what i needed to blow away the cobwebs and make me feel a bit more awake .

yesterday Andy finished work at dinner time so we walked into town with plans to go to the museum, library and the park after Andy had found some new trousers but it turned into a marathon trouser shopping session with me entertaining Daisy outside various changing rooms ,Ben was so intrigued by the Changing rooms he insisted on going in with his daddy and giving style advice :)
Eventually he found a pair he liked so we quickly escaped the horrid shopping centre and headed to the library.
after the pixies had chosen books and coloured in some pictures it was quite late so we had a picnic tea in the park and then lots of running about pretending to be Spiderman .

a little known fact but Spiderman always goes down slides head first :)

enjoying nature

After a weekend of not doing any crafting i was itching to make something, anything! so i made this dangley heart which was from the December issue of the Green parent :)

Breakfast in the window, now she has finally grown tall enough to climb in the window seat by herself it has become Daisy's favourite place to sit. The window is now covered in slimy hand prints though :)

Since Ben got his knights for his birthday he has played with nothing else .i found them a wicker box at the car boot sale for them all to live in .

Pixie's in the woods

All the trees in the park are stating to burst into blossom which is my absolute favorite thing about Spring .

Have really happy memories about sitting under this very tree about this time 2yrs ago when i had just had my 20wk scan and found out i was expecting a girl ,Ben hadn't started walking yet and was crawling through the blossom and Andy shook the tree branch and all the blossom floated down like snow on us all :) i think if we ever move house this will be the one place i will really miss .

In the afternoon we did a little re-potting of some of our plants that had grown too big for their pots.

We ran out of compost so our little Horse-chestnut tree has to wait a little while longer before he has a new home .

My Coriander has started growing which is my favourite herb :) yum.

I also managed to successfully fit a new zip to Ben's bag (don't look too close its a bit dodgy) when i showed Ben id mended it he shouted 'Wahooo' ! which made all the struggling with the zip so worth while :)

Easter Sunday

Another lovely day so we went for a walk on the canal after getting a tiny bit losed in Grandads car .
daisy kept walking on the edge of the path scarring the socks off me !

we left Andy at home to do some OU maths work and when we got home he had cooked a yummy vegi Easter Sunday lunch :)
