I Still haven't decided on the best course of action to take about monitoring during labour !have yet another midwife appointment on Friday so will see what she says.
would love to be in my own home to labour peacefully but that's no longer possible and my parents house is just to full of people :(
Have started looking into hypnobirthing as Ive also got worries about giving birth without Andy there as comfort and support like he was with my last two births ,he didn't do anything amazing during labour and birth but its nice to have someone there to share it with . My mum has said she will come to hospital with me but doesn't feel she can come and be there during the birth . but ive got used to the idea of doing it alone (apart from the midwifes) i just hope i can keep focused and positive and my big worry is i will spend labour in tears upset that ive no husband to hold my hand and support me or crying afterwards at having no husband to share my baby with .
However despite all my little worries im looking forward to labour and getting to see my baby for the first time :) and crikey i need to think of a name for her !
Ive started practising with my preloved gypsymama wrap in front of the mirror as ive never used a wrap type sling before .and after months of deliberation finally ordered a MaM two way jacket :) which arrived today and is really lovely so i can still baby wear when its cold and icy :) yay .
This is my scarf im knitting, i thought it was about time i knitted myself something lovely, im also knitting like mad to finish tummy pixies baby blanket .
more wood walks
and yes that is a wooden spatula Ben is holding ! its his new favourite toy he found it while having a rummage in Grandmas kitchen draws and now he and it are inseparable . he even coloured it in with red felt pen and then when he took it too bed he feel asleep with his cheek on it and when he woke up he had a red felt tip cheek which you can just about see in the photo :)
**hugs**
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bump hon.
For the rest, I don't know what to say.. 'cept if I lived closer I'd be offering with bells on to support you.. and of course.. we would be really good "real life" friends lol. :-)
Take care hon.
Joxy.
Beautiful bump pic!
ReplyDeleteI really wish there was some practical help I could offer too. Have you thought about hiring a doula? It's a big expense I know, but at least you would have someone there just focusing on you and supporting you.
Sending you brightest blessings, love and light across the miles

what a lovely bump. :)
ReplyDeletewish there was some way i could help. a doula is def worth considering.
i think you are doing an amazing job. your children have a very strong and thoughtful mama.
xx
Was just going to suggest a doula, where abouts are you? If you are close enough I could assist, but I know a few other doulas dotted around the country, if it's something you want to look into, go to www.doulauk.org.uk they have a fund for people who are worried about the costs (not that I'm suggesting you can't manage it, just that don't let the cost put you off) they believe that everyone is entitled to a doula, regardless of costs. If you are near to a trainee doula the costs are half anyway, and if you're near to me, I'll assist you for free anyway! Good luck, x.
ReplyDeleteI think I might be fairly close to you, well same general area anyway! If theres anything I can do, just shout.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing great there and you're such an inspiration. Best wishes.
Lovely bump pic too.
xx
Loving the pics, bump is blooming beautifully and pixies are growing happily by the looks of it :)
ReplyDeleteYou are strong and determined and I am sure you will surprise yourself whatever your labour and birth entails. Have faith in yourself and some affimations on the bathroom mirror ;-)
