staying positive

Really felt the need to post tonight as sort of a way of reminding myself not to focus on the negative . life has been a struggle over the past months solely due to my lack of energy and morning sickness which seems to have impacted on Ben the most causing his behaviour to get quite bad at times and my inability to deal with it as rationally as i would like hasn't helped either . tonight was no exception .
so need to wright about the nice times we had today .

This morning we went to the park early so it wasn't too hot for the pixies or poor Doodles in her black fur coat.
We took a bag of carrots to feed to the horses we see every day ,Daisy always try to feed them stones so i thought it would be nice to give them something yummy. When we got up to their field they wernt there! much to Ben's disappointment who had excitedly carried the carrots all the way from home .

Ben climbed in the pram and decided he would eat them instead :)

When we got home we filled up the paddling pool for a nice cool splash.
When Andy came back from the car boot sale he had bought me some lovely maternity jeans and a top and in the right size too! what a good husband :)

found these in a charity shop yesterday for 70p, think I'm going to make myself a scarf with the purple/blue wool ,even though its the middle of summer :) but i can imagine it taking me that long to finish it .The green wool is baby alpaca wool so must find something beautiful to make with it, mmmmm but what ?

rejoining the land of the living

After what feels like forever I'm slowly starting to feel better ,I'm still being sick but my energy is returning which makes a big difference to how i am with the pixies .
we have been out with our new bike trailer and Andy was really pleased with it although it was a bit scary on the road for the first time .
We cycled to Central Forest park and had a picnic and the pixies had a play.

here's a photo Andy took of me trying to smile with a mouth full of apple .

Before we set off home we had some ice lolly's from the ice cream van ,love this photo as they both have their tongues out enjoying there lollys.

when we got home they had both fallen asleep .

Not really had the energy or time for crafting because as soon as the pixies go to bed Ive been going to bed but the week before the morning sickness kicked in i finished making a knitted teddy for my little jelly bean, haven't given him a nose or mouth yet cant quite decide how to do it .
managed to make my GP forum season swap for Becks but forgot to take a photo ! doh

These were my beautiful GP forum season swaps from Claire

my poo camera couldn't really capture how gorgeous the crochet flowers are. big thank you to a talented mama xx

our beach holiday

Have finally got round to blogging yay!
This is our 2 week holiday to Berwick upon tweed in Northumberland.
Where we were staying was right next to the beach so the pixies spent alot of time playing on the beach .

This was the first holiday that Ben has actually enjoyed the beach and not hated the sand and water ,i think seeing Daisy splashing in the sea helped him get over his beach phobia.

When the tide went out there was loads and loads of rock pools for us to explore .

we found some prawns

and a very big crab

then we buried the pixies

Ben on the train platform waiting for the train too Edinburgh.

Edinburgh castle

Gray friars Bobby ,Ben has the book about bobby and spent all day asking to go see bobby and when we finally found him Ben had fallen asleep in the pram.

more playing on the beach

This is Holy Island it was really beautiful and had lots more beaches for the pixies to explore.

I felt really yucky so spent the day in a heap on the beach.

Daisy found a 'meow'

lindisfarn castle

sat on yet another beach

Andy was very excited when he saw this sign for free mead tasting :)

After a long walk we found the best beach of them all and it was huge and we were the only ones on it ! even though i was feeling really sick the sight of this beautiful deserted beach made me want to go for a paddle with the pixies.

Ben stripped off to his under pants and ran into the sea he didn't seem to mind the water was freezing cold.

Daisy did mind that the water was rather cold and started turning blue so we quickly got her dressed.

This was Arnwick Castle which is where Harry potter is filmed.
Ben got to dress up as a Knight and loved running round with the horse.

off with daddy's head

The next day we went to a Aquarium.
