camping inside

Saturday Andy wanted to see if our tent is big enough for us all to fit in so decided to pitch it in the lounge much to the excitement of the pixies.
They spent most of the day playing in the tent and having Andy read them stories . I however spent most of the day sitting or laying on the sofa feeling rotten. Am finding meeting the needs of the pixies and parenting gently a real challenge while feeling so lacking in energy .
we have had a very quiet week and Ive felt very guilty for not being the mummy i want to be and being very grumpy, was relieved when the weekend arrived and i had Andy's help he has been brilliant cooking lovely meals and making cakes and entertaining the children and letting me cry all over him about what a terrible mummy i feel.

Sunday and the pixies had a sleep in and didn't get up at 5.00am which has made a big difference to my energy levels and theirs, so i got the pixies all wellyed up and took them to the park for the first time in days .
we had a really lovely time we all needed the fresh air and change of scenery.

Had a lovely afternoon playing cars with Daisy who was very glad of some one on one attention .
Fingers crossed the week ahead will be more positive x

  1. Sory to hear you are feeling so tired Lucy, really go easy on yourself,, (I felt exhausted throughout my third pregnancy and it is very hard not to feel grumpy and irritable and wish you could just sleep trough each day!) Try to rest whenever you can and I found drinking lots of filtered or spring water and fresh fruit throughout the day really helped..

  3. Hope things start feeling better soon. It's so hard with little ones to look after too. Flat whole earth ginger beer was my saviour. And lots and lots of frsh fruit, nothing else.
    Best wishes.
