bike rides and punctures

The sun came out so out came the bikes, Andy decided we would cycle 10miles to Congelton and then get the train back . We were going to get the train there and ride back but we missed the train as it took us ages to get ready.
Most of the ride was along a old railway track which has been converted into a cycle path and was down hill so it was a nice easy ride (which my knees appreciated).
We cycled into Cheshire and when we arrived in Congelton we locked up are bikes right next to a toy shop that had a closing down sale that ended that day so of course we had to go in ,Ben chose a Papo Knight which he has called his 'baby knight' !? and Daisy got a Sylvanian cat.
We had a had a wonder round the town with Daisy in the sling which is so useful for going on bike rides as it fits in our backpack and proved to be even more useful as when we got back to our bikes to go to the train station Andy's bikes back wheel was flat as a pancake and he couldn't push it with a pixie on the back so he carried Daisy in the sling while pushing his bike, so Hurray for slings :)

Found some gorgeous wool ,a cuddly lizard , dinosaur and two books for the pixies from the charity shops .
We have learnt from this trip that we need to put anti puncture Slime in our wheels and ALWAYS carry a bike pump and puncture repair kit ! as we were silly enough to go out without them .

  1. Great charity shop buys :0)
I'm so enjoying reading all about your family days together, it's very inspiring to see other families who enjoy spending time together, being in nature and exploring outdoors.
